Ooompa-Loompa

So on Sunday night, 4 days before 8th grade graduation Makenna decided she needed to do a little spray tan on her feet - she had a definite tan line at her ankles from wearing shorts and tennis shoes - only she got a little impatient,

Meet LuLu....

LuLu is my black lab mix, my baby! She is 3 and quite the girly girl. She LOVES to hang out with the girls - especially when my daughters friends come over.

Apparently LuLu has been collecting vintage jewelry. When the girls would come over, LuLu would hurry outside and come in with some fabulous piece of vintage jewelry and she would just lay it on the floor by girls and just sit - to be included. We never found out how she got the jewelry, and we never could find where she had it stashed..........she came up with 8 or 10 pieces over the span of about a week. Not burried, very clean and she never chewed them, and was always very careful with them. Labs are known for eating anything and everything (like my daughters $450 retainers) but the jewelry.......never! I guess she really does have discriminating taste!! So I though what better mascot for my website and blog than the lovely LuLu!

Building a website is hard work !

Sick and tired of Ebay - so I decided to have my own website - but Whew it's hard work. When I was 12, a vintage shop opened up next to the local grocery store and one day I got up enough nerve to wander in - and WOW! I fell in LOVE. Everything was so beautiful.......each piece had a history and a purpose.....and I was hooked,. By -the 80's - well the Madonna Rhinestone Hey-day......I was in rhinestone heaven. That's when my grandma gave me the pieces she had that were her mother's. I'll add photos of those special pieces in the next few days.....a huge watermelon rhinestone Julianna turtle, and so many more...... Over the Years I've collected so many items - from furniture to tea cups, you name it - and that turned into selling on ebay. My poor husband has longed for the garage for years, so now I buy what I love, but only small items (jewelry, purses, and baubles) and I set up a website to pass them along to others who share the love of fabulous old jewerly. My son thought I should call my website "old stuff" - I went with Vintage Baubles and Bling. Surpising, I know! My husband hopes to have the garage back soon.......oh and my model - well she is quite a reluctant model so you will never see her whole face.....
