So on Sunday night, 4 days before 8th grade graduation Makenna decided she needed to do a little spray tan on her feet - she had a definite tan line at her ankles from wearing shorts and tennis shoes - only she got a little impatient,
not realizing she wouldn't see results until the next day, so she kept spraying and kept spraying. On Monday we all awoke to the horror of really dark orange oooompa-loompa feet! Ooops. Well it gets better - there was an incident at school, which turned out to be nothing, but Makenna and some girls had to go into the principals office. They all had to take off their shoes and socks so Makenna told them - okay but I wanna warn you that I tried to tan my feet - so when she took her socks off, both the principal and vice principal started laughing so hard they started crying! Makenna was really good natured about it (surprising for a 13 year old) and actually laughed with them. LOL I'm happy to report that by Graduation today, after 3 nights of soaking and scrubbing, the orange was barely detectable and she looked beautiful.
